Lockheed Martin Canada is looking for a Naval Operations Senior Subject Matter Expert to provide pivotal support for our naval programs. In this role, you will leverage your naval expertise to lead the analysis, design, development, and delivery of tactical and operational training products and services, collaborating with synthetic trainers and customer stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Provide tactical and operational naval SME input into the analysis, design, and delivery of training products to meet customer Force Generation needs.
- Lead training team members and support the scheduling of training events.
- Support internal and external stakeholders to plan, prepare for, and deliver individual and collective training events in simulated training environments.
- Provide classroom and trainer instruction and mentoring, offering naval SME input into training requirements before and during scenarios.
- Facilitate performance feedback to RCN instructors and students.
- Lead training continuous improvement activities.
- Support training by fulfilling the role of a Warfare Commander in a simulator environment, commensurate with previous experience.
- Support the RCN with lesson plan integration and scenario development.
- Provide support to bi-costal training teams as required, including attendance at virtual meetings and travel.
- Recommend realistic operational insertions to improve training effectiveness.
- Support program lines with SME input for software development and business development processes.
- Provide testing support for program lines.
- Conduct tours and provide demonstrations of the Customer's site as tasked.
- Identify and report discrepancies, issues, and observations pertaining to delivered products.
- Support Training Leads in agile work planning and reporting.
- Share lessons learned with peers and colleagues across the organization.
- Support a proactive, mutually supportive relationship with our domestic Customers.
- Support a growth mindset and seek opportunities for further development and mentorship.
- Maintain a high standard of professional excellence.
- Work full-time at the Customer site with minimum supervision, identifying when process changes are needed and offering solutions.
- Support inclusivity in day-to-day interactions, both internally and externally.
Team & Environment
You will report functionally to local leaders and technically to a coastal training lead and Training IPT Leads.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Halifax, NS.
