About the Role

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is hiring an MRI Technologist to support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. In this role, you will operate advanced MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patients at VA Portland HCS, representing our organization and commitment to veteran care.

What You'll Do

  • Operate superconductive MRI equipment to acquire images following complex protocols.
  • Maintain and work from HIS–RIS worklist, with systems transitioning to Cerner.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure all images are correctly labeled.
  • Explain examination procedures and potential hazards to patients.
  • Maintain records and enter required data into VA systems.
  • Perform irregular-hour emergency scans while on standby/on-call to support 24-hour coverage.
  • Work independently, escalating unusual problems to the Imaging Chief Technologist.
  • Participate in VAMC/TJC activities and report all patient safety incidents per VA process.
  • Support staffing coverage consistent with ICSP task orders.
  • Complete required organizational and client-specified compliance education.

What We're Looking For

  • Two years’ experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment under a Radiologist's direction.
  • Recent experience working as an MRI Tech in a hospital lab setting within the last six months.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Successful completion of an accredited training program and certification as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to pass and possess a VA Public Trust Clearance.

This is an onsite position located at 3710 SW U.S. Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR 97239, and 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd Vancouver, WA 98661.
