At Deephaven Mortgage, we champion mortgage borrowers whose entrepreneurial drive often makes them ineligible for traditional loans. We are looking for a Mortgage Closer to prepare the preliminary Closing Disclosure, final Closing Disclosure, and the closing package, partnering with Settlement Agents to balance final loan figures and confirm fees.
What You'll Do
- Review documentation needed to generate the preliminary Closing Disclosure.
- Communicate with the broker regarding any documentation needed to send the preliminary Closing Disclosure.
- Work closely with Account Managers to ensure accuracy for Estimated Closing Date.
- Review important expiration dates to ensure nothing will expire.
- Ensure rate lock is good through funding date.
- Send the preliminary Closing Disclosure to the Borrower(s), Broker, and Settlement Agent.
- Prepare final closing figures and package.
- Send the closing package to the Settlement Agent.
- Review and verify all fees.
- Complete any and all other duties as requested by management.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of mortgage loan closing experience.
- Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of current regulatory compliance requirements.
- Organized, analytical, detail oriented, and self-motivated.
- Manage pipeline to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and quality.
- Maintain knowledge of products and programs offered.
- Complete responsibilities effectively and efficiently with minimal direction.
- Manage daily tasks to ensure business needs are consistently met.
- Present self in a professional manner and interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts appropriately.
- Comply with Deephaven policies and procedures.
- Adopt the Deephaven culture that contributes to an environment of teamwork and promotes a positive company image.
- Complete all assigned training by required dates.
- Currently resides in a state located in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones.
