Sonoco is hiring a Moldsetter for our first shift. In this hands-on role, you will operate mold changer machines, drive mold installation procedures, and ensure all work is performed according to strict safety protocols.
What You'll Do
- Operate a mold changer machine to change molds.
- Drive the mold installation procedure.
- Understand the Quality system and interpret data as it relates to the molding process.
- Be responsible for accurate and thorough documentation and data communication.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Focus on working safely to support an injury-free environment.
- Follow Division safety rules and demonstrate leadership in establishing and following Safe Work Procedures.
- Understand and demonstrate sound mold installation and setup procedures.
- Make sound decisions regarding executing priorities and cost control, with a focus on scrap reduction and efficiency.
- Safely and properly install and start existing molds with established processes utilizing the 5 key process parameters.
- Demonstrate sound troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude to conduct systematic analysis of tooling, processes, and machines to solve existing problems.
