Motorola Solutions is hiring a Mobile Video Area Sales Manager to lead a sales team within the Southeast US region. You will be responsible for strategic account planning and relationship management for both existing and new customers, driving sales growth for our high-growth SaaS business with a focus on increasing Recurring Software Revenue.
What You'll Do
- Lead a sales team within the designated region, managing strategic account planning and overall relationship management.
- Align the Mobile Video sales team with Motorola Solutions’ territory teams and key partners to enhance sales and execution.
- Establish a collaborative, energetic, and exciting working environment as the leader of the region.
- Hold the sales team accountable for achieving or exceeding the Committed View (CV) forecast.
- Report in detail on the CV forecast per month, quarter, and annually.
- Set go-to-market strategies both with direct and indirect selling resources.
- Generate a long-term, multiple-year sales pipeline and identify accounts to pursue.
- Create, strengthen, and manage reseller and Motorola manufacturer representative organizations.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the existing customer base.
- Support the sales team in negotiating large contracts.
- Resolve complex customer service and satisfaction issues.
- Help drive product decisions and support decisions to meet customers' existing and future needs.
- Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire 'target' account.
- Actively participate in customer engagement, with 50% travel expected.
- Engage at the executive level.
- Attract and develop a diverse pool of future leaders for the organization.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals.
- Knowledge and experience with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com.
- Experience with the Miller-Heiman sales methodology.
- Experience selling video and/or software solutions.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
