Main Purpose of the Job:
The Healthcare Professional is a crucial team member supporting primary healthcare initiatives. Responsibilities include implementing Emergency Reproductive Health services, particularly the Minimum Initial Service Package for critical situations. They will manage family planning, maternal care, sexually transmitted disease treatment, and sexual assault survivor support within organizational healthcare facilities, reporting directly to the Medical Director.
General Duties
- Proactively monitor team safety, reporting concerns and collaborating with community leaders
- Execute additional tasks assigned by supervisors to enhance program effectiveness
- Maintain professional team dynamics, fostering collaborative work environments
- Provide mentorship and on-site training for clinical staff
Specific Duties:
- Deliver comprehensive clinical care alongside healthcare colleagues
- Conduct patient triage, screening, and assessments
- Perform delivery and neonatal resuscitation procedures
- Coordinate emergency obstetric care referrals
- Identify and refer sexual assault survivors
- Provide antenatal and postnatal care
- Deliver health education and patient counseling
- Implement infection prevention protocols
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Ensure patient confidentiality and respectful interactions
Requirements:
- Certified Midwifery qualification, registered with Health Ministry
- Minimum two years clinical midwifery experience
- Sexual violence care expertise
