About the Role
This position leads election efforts in several Mid-Atlantic states, overseeing campaign strategy, staff management, and resource allocation to advance progressive electoral goals. The director will build strong teams, ensure compliance, and drive organizational effectiveness across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate election campaigns across multiple states in the Mid-Atlantic region
- Develop and implement strategic plans for electoral success
- Supervise field staff and provide ongoing training and support
- Manage campaign budgets and ensure responsible financial oversight
- Build relationships with local, state, and national partners
- Ensure compliance with election laws and reporting requirements
- Oversee voter engagement and turnout strategies
- Guide messaging and communications tailored to local contexts
- Monitor political developments and adjust strategies accordingly
- Support candidate recruitment and onboarding processes
- Coordinate data and technology use across campaigns
- Track performance metrics and report on outcomes
- Lead post-election evaluations and lessons learned
- Foster inclusive team cultures grounded in equity and accountability
- Respond to crises or urgent issues during election cycles
- Ensure alignment between local efforts and broader organizational goals
- Manage logistics for campaign events and field operations
- Develop timelines and project plans for key milestones
- Support volunteer recruitment and management
- Work with legal and compliance teams on regulatory matters
