Samtec, Inc is looking for a Metrology Programmer to develop and manage measurement programs for our NR/TG and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for programming and supporting automated visual inspection equipment while training team members on their use.
What You'll Do
- Create or edit measurement programs for MicroVu or OGP systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand print specifications and fixture requirements for programs.
- Complete capability tests for new measurement programs.
- Train operators and OJT personnel on performing measurements using automated visual inspection instruments.
- Provide manufacturing support by resolving tickets related to the usage of MicroVu and OGP equipment.
- Manage equipment usage and maintain stock of consumables and spare parts in coordination with TPG and the Calibration Laboratory.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of Metrology experience; traditional programming experience is desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A quick learner who can synthesize information efficiently.
- A curious mindset that embraces new challenges and continuous learning.
- A thorough approach that balances urgency with quality work.
- Strong organizational skills for managing varied tasks and shifting priorities.
- Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through on processes.
