Neon One is hiring a Merchant Support Specialist (POS)

About the Role

Neon One is looking for a Merchant Support Specialist (POS) to ensure smooth and secure in-person payment transactions for our customers. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically skilled professional who thrives on solving problems and driving operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily operations of all in-person payment systems, including POS terminals, card readers, and related software.
  • Monitor transaction performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payment-related technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware malfunctions, transaction failures, and connectivity problems to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant industry standards.
  • Maintain documentation and coordinate with internal teams to uphold security best practices.
  • Act as the liaison with hardware vendors and POS software providers.
  • Manage vendor relationships, escalate issues, and evaluate new technology solutions for efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay informed on emerging payment technologies, market trends, and best practices in card-present transactions.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a payments-related or POS support role.
  • Deep understanding of in-person payment ecosystems, including hardware and software integrations.
  • Strong technical skills with POS systems, payment gateways, and payment terminals (e.g., countertop and mobile).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and train non-technical users.

Nice to Have

  • PCI Professional (PCIP) or other relevant certifications.
