Role Overview
This position supports the accurate development and distribution of in-flight menu specifications for a major airline partner, working in close coordination with internal teams and global catering providers. Reporting to the Menu Administrative Manager, the analyst plays a key role in maintaining data integrity across systems that drive meal service planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all menu specification tasks meet required deadlines, following customer-specific timelines for updates and rollouts.
- Act as a point of contact for inquiries from menu development teams, customer service units, catering partners, sourcing, and operations regarding menu content and specifications.
- Review vendor-submitted specifications for food items, verifying completeness and accuracy, and flagging discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
- Update and maintain ingredient lists, recipes, and menu configurations within the IFX system, aiming for complete precision.
- Respond to questions from customers and caterers about menu details, printed materials, and service requirements.
- Support the alignment of meal service types within Paxia and IFX databases to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Maintain Food Service Receipt (FSR) descriptions and Menu IDs in IFX to support operational clarity.
- Take on additional projects and duties as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement in menu administration processes.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required, along with 2–3 years of professional experience using Excel and ERP systems, preferably in airline catering or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in Microsoft Office, database tools, and web-based platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The role requires reliability, precision, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Work hours often exceed 40 per week, and the position operates in a hybrid model, with flexibility to work remotely or on-site as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with IFX, SAP, or similar data environments, particularly involving menu or pricing data.
- Background in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
- Proven ability to work in data-intensive settings requiring analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated strength in accuracy, time management, and attention to detail.
Technical Environment
Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems, IFX, SAP, Paxia, database applications, and web-based platforms.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work remotely or in person as directed. The schedule may require extended hours during peak cycles.
