Mass General Brigham (The McLean Hospital Corporation) is looking for a Mental Health Technician to join our team on a per diem basis at our 52 Oak Street location. In this critical role, you will provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring patient safety and well-being while supporting the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu. You will be part of a high-performing team focused on providing exceptional care.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
- Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
- Provide parent and family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
- Adhere to specific guidelines for patients on special status, such as suicide, sexual abuse, or AWOL precautions.
- Provide accurate shift-to-shift reports and remain on the unit while the incoming shift is in report.
- Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.
- Maintain professional boundaries in relationships with patients at all times.
- Complete and file all required documentation in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Successful completion of CPI training within 30 days of hire.
Nice to Have
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- A Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential in New Hampshire.
- 0-1 year of related experience.
Technical Stack
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
