Millennium Physicians Group (MPG) is hiring a Memory Support APRN to deliver specialized memory care through our telehealth platform. In this role, you will provide comprehensive cognitive assessments and manage the complex symptoms of dementia for patients across Florida, all from a remote setting.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive telehealth evaluations for patients with memory concerns, including detailed clinical histories and remote physical/neurological observations.
- Administer and interpret validated remote cognitive assessment tools (e.g., Mini-Cog, MoCA, SLUMS) to determine the stage and type of cognitive impairment.
- Diagnose and manage neuropsychiatric complications such as agitation, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances using pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Educate families on disease progression, safety planning (wandering, driving), and behavioral de-escalation techniques.
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with Florida state regulations and HIPAA standards for telehealth.
What We're Looking For
- A current, unencumbered Florida APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP).
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience specifically in geriatrics, neurology, or a dedicated memory care setting.
- Experience conducting video-based clinical visits and comfort troubleshooting basic technology issues with elderly patients and their families.
- Working knowledge of the CMS Cognitive Assessment & Care Plan requirements and the nuances of dementia-related behavioral health.
