National General (Allstate) is seeking a MedPay/PIP Claims Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. You'll determine coverage, liability, and damages, adjusting and negotiating claims within your authority.
What You'll Do
- Investigate all aspects of auto claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation, exercising discretion within an increased level of authority.
- Partner with assigned specialists on claims involving fraud or subrogation to achieve the best outcome.
- Recognize vehicle body parts and understand other potential property damage.
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and decide on the appropriate handling.
- Apply an intermediate understanding of company and industry insurance policies.
- Identify customer needs and use appropriate customer service skills to meet them.
What We're Looking For
- Experience handling auto claims investigations, coverage determination, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of auto insurance policies, liability assessment, and claims adjusting processes.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment within a defined authority.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- A 4-year Bachelor's Degree.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience.
Team & Environment
This job does not have supervisory duties.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $50,000.00 to $80,000.00.
