Grupo PiSA is looking for a Medical Risk Assessor to conduct the medical review of insurability files according to established technical criteria. You will support the risk selection area's operations with basic clinical analysis, handle internal requests, and follow up on procedures to contribute to timely medical evaluations aligned with regulatory and reinsurance guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Review initial medical applications, reinstatements, and changes, validating they have complete information to proceed with insurability assessment per defined medical criteria.
- Support the update of the medical area's operational formats and documents when there are changes in criteria or procedures.
- Address frequent questions from non-medical risk selectors about standard clinical criteria, resolving basic inquiries to facilitate their decision-making in routine cases and ensure technical uniformity.
- Prepare support information for medical committees, organizing files and clinical summaries under the guidance of the lead physician.
- Provide basic technical support to the sales force, resolving queries about general medical processes or criteria.
- Support the follow-up on medical requests received from the sales force, identifying pending requirements and channeling corresponding responses.
- Participate in internal training for new doctors or non-medical personnel on basic medical underwriting topics.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine (Licenciatura Médico Cirujano), certified and with a professional license (cédula profesional).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- Experience in Underwriting within the mentioned lines of business.
- Desirable to have completed social service or professional internships in clinical areas, preventive medicine, occupational medicine, or health-related administrative areas.

This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities. You will report to the lead physician or designated area head.
