Adventist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to perform essential support services under the specific authorization and supervision of licensed clinical staff. This onsite role in Sonora, CA is part of our faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to living God's love by inspiring health, wholeness, and hope.
What You'll Do
- Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
- Maintain a patient recall system, including logs for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
- Obtain vital signs and report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
- Perform venipunctures as ordered.
- Perform audiometry and vision testing.
What We're Looking For
- High School Education/GED or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification.
Nice to Have
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or an equivalent combination of licensure and experience.
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.
- Phlebotomy certificate.
