What You'll Do
As the Mechanical Engineering Discipline Lead, you will oversee HVAC design efforts for a range of mid-to-large building and facility projects. You’ll lead a team of engineers at various career stages, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development. Your role includes managing design workflows, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and supporting projects from concept through construction.
You will serve as the primary technical contact for mechanical systems, presenting solutions to clients and explaining complex engineering concepts clearly. This position requires regular coordination with project managers to align on scope, schedule, and budget, as well as collaboration with civil, architectural, and other engineering disciplines to integrate design elements seamlessly.
Using AutoCAD and REVIT, you’ll develop detailed engineering documentation and apply energy modeling tools like Trane Trace and IES to support sustainable design. You’ll also conduct quality reviews of team outputs, contribute to proposal development with cost and schedule estimates, and ensure compliance with permitting regulations and agency standards.
