About the Role

The role involves designing mechanical systems for buildings, collaborating with engineering teams, and supporting project delivery from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Perform engineering calculations and system load analyses
  • Develop construction documentation and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Support project managers in meeting client requirements
  • Conduct site inspections and construction administration
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
  • Prepare engineering reports and design summaries
  • Assist in project scoping and feasibility studies
  • Use computer-aided design and modeling software
  • Coordinate with contractors and consultants
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Participate in design reviews and client meetings
  • Support sustainable design and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Maintain project documentation and records
