As a Mechanical Drafting Specialist, you will produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for standard and custom power transformers, translating customer requirements into accurate technical documentation. Your work will directly support procurement, quality assurance, testing, and manufacturing operations, ensuring designs align with both project needs and applicable national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical design documentation using recognized CAD platforms, adhering to internal engineering standards and project specifications
- Generate bills of materials and perform necessary calculations to support production and sourcing activities
- Incorporate material data, cost considerations, and supply chain constraints into design decisions
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams during design reviews to refine outputs and prevent errors
- Monitor the full lifecycle of mechanical drawings from initial concept through to delivery
- Respond to non-conformance findings by implementing corrective and preventive measures
- Integrate manufacturing capabilities into design planning to ensure producibility and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement by reducing design-related quality costs
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards through compliant practices and active collaboration with EHS personnel
Qualifications
- Graduate of a technical school program with at least one year of experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Inventor
- Familiarity with engineering fundamentals and design for manufacturability
- Experience in the transformer or related electrical equipment sector—especially MPT/LPT systems—is highly valued
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, deadline-driven environment
- Strong commitment to quality, process discipline, and collaborative problem-solving
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based at the Gebze facility, requiring presence at least four days per week. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Istanbul or Kocaeli area.
