Gevernova is looking for a Mechanical Drafting Specialist to create precise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for standard and special power transformers based on customer requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting procurement, quality, testing, and manufacturing by delivering accurate designs, calculations, and documentation in alignment with international standards and company practices.
What You'll Do
- Create 2D & 3D drawings of standard and special power transformers based on customer specifications
- Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and bill of materials for procurement, quality, test, and manufacturing functions
- Prepare mechanical drawings using CAD tools and engineering calculation methods
- Follow up the mechanical drawings’ lifecycle from beginning to delivery to internal customers
- Follow non-conformance reports and ensure necessary preventive actions are taken
- Design independently and advise improvement actions
- Attend engineering and production reviews to produce error-free designs and reliable products
- Reduce the cost of non-quality and ensure adequate performance of the unit
- Prepare mechanical design drawings considering international rules and national standards
- Use appropriate GE standards and tools in design work
- Rely on material specifications including technical understandings, costs, and procurement loop
- Consider manufacturing capabilities during design process
- Be aware of company and local EHS policies, rules, and standards
- Show exemplary behaviors on EHS
- Perform preventive and corrective actions in collaboration with EHS team to avoid accidents, incidents, and environmental damages
What We're Looking For
- Minimum technical school graduation
- Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical design area
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD software (Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Inventor)
- Willing to work at Gebze plant at least 4 days per week
- Ability to live in Istanbul & Kocaeli

- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure in a complex organizational environment
- Experience in the transformer sector, particularly MPT/LPT design, is a strong asset
