Vaughan Regional Medical Center, a ScionHealth facility, is hiring a Materials Management Clerk to manage the stock room and ensure the efficient receipt and distribution of supplies. You'll play a key role in supporting patient care and facility operations while upholding high standards of compliance and safety.
What You'll Do
- Assist with supply check-in and verify deliveries against purchase orders.
- Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
- Distribute supplies to appropriate locations throughout the facility.
- Maintain a cost requisition system.
- Assure that the stock room is clean, safe, and orderly.
- Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each patient and transfer the information into the computer system for billing.
- Assist with conducting physical inventory.
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with company Code of Business Conduct, policies, procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable federal and state laws.
What We're Looking For
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information.
- Understands the principles of growth and development for the entire lifespan and ability to provide care appropriate for adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means to the extent necessary to perform job duties.
- Reading and comprehension at level necessary to perform job duties appropriately.
- Ability to work under stress and to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when working or interacting with patients, their families and other staff members.
