Vaughan Regional Medical Center, part of ScionHealth, is looking for a Materials Clerk to manage the daily flow of critical supplies. In this role, you’ll maintain the stock room and ensure the accurate receipt and distribution of materials across the facility.
What You'll Do
- Assist with supply check-in and verify shipments against purchase orders.
- Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
- Distribute supplies to their appropriate locations throughout the facility.
- Maintain a cost requisition system.
- Keep the stock room clean, safe, and orderly.
- Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each patient and transfer the information into the computer system for billing.
- Assist with conducting physical inventory.
- Conduct all job responsibilities in accordance with company standards, compliance agreements, and applicable laws.
What We're Looking For
- A High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and employee information.
- Understanding of principles of growth and development for the entire lifespan, with ability to provide appropriate care considerations for adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means to perform job duties, with reading comprehension at the necessary level.
- Ability to work under stress and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
