Sonoco is looking for a Material Handler II to join our team in Gastonia, NC. You will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility, operating a stand-up forklift to support production workflows. You will report directly to the Department Supervisor.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned duties and operate a stand-up forklift.
- Support production needs by handling and distributing finished goods and raw materials to appropriate workstations.
- Check and verify tags, markings, and labels for accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks; process and maintain appropriate paperwork.
- Maintain parts inventory, assist with monthly inventory counts, and arrange and sort warehouse stock.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in driving a forklift.
