Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Marine Aftermarket Business Development Consultant to join our fastest-growing division. In this customer-facing role, you will be instrumental in driving dealer success and customer satisfaction by building strong relationships and guiding sales strategies for the Middle East and Africa territories.
What You'll Do
- Be responsible for the dealer territories in the Middle East and Africa.
- Work with dealers to identify, prioritize, and execute actions to achieve yearly MaK used parts and engines aftermarket growth targets.
- Regularly meet with customers on aftermarket needs and discuss MaK used parts and engines options, aftermarket solutions, and services.
- Work with internal sales support teams to identify and drive regional actions to support MaK used parts and engines growth.
- Increase dealer sales of parts and services through eCommerce to reach long-tail customers.
- Create and execute key account plans for large accounts.
- Increase customer and dealer engagement with MaK used parts and engines.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on aftermarket needs to support customers and provide additional growth.
- Develop quotations for custom solutions beyond standard offerings.
- Provide project-specific technical guidance and interface with core engineering teams.
What We're Looking For
- Customer Focus: Working knowledge of aligning customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in business decisions.
- Effective Communications: Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques. Fluency in English is required.
- Negotiating: Working knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques.
- Relationship Management: Working knowledge of relationship management techniques.
- Business Development: Strong understanding of business development tools, techniques, and approaches.
- Value Selling: Working knowledge of principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the Marine industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Strong product knowledge of Marine and electric power products including generator sets (gensets).
- Proven experience building and managing customer and dealer relationships to drive sales and service excellence.

This is a global position focused on the Middle East and Africa regions.
