What You'll Do
Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess functional and business requirements for financial applications, with a focus on payments infrastructure. Develop and run detailed test scenarios covering full transaction pathways, including validation of SWIFT message formats and end-to-end payment processing.
Carry out system, integration, and regression testing across multiple environments to ensure stability and compliance. Support user acceptance testing and assist in verifying production deployments when required. Use issue-tracking platforms such as JIRA or HP ALM to log, monitor, and resolve defects efficiently.
Ensure all testing activities meet industry-specific regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) standards. Validate data consistency and transaction correctness across interconnected systems, paying close attention to message structure and content alignment with ISO 20022 specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of hands-on manual testing experience, ideally within banking or financial services
- Proven familiarity with payment processing workflows and SWIFT-based messaging systems
- Experience using test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM
- Ability to write and interpret SQL queries for backend data validation
- Strong analytical mindset with clear documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 or MT/MX message formats
- Exposure to test automation frameworks like Selenium
- Working experience in Agile or Scrum environments
- Hold or pursuing ISTQB certification
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards in banking
Technical Environment
Testing tools include JIRA, TestRail, and HP ALM. You'll work with SQL for database validation, validate SWIFT messages in MT/MX formats, and ensure compliance with ISO 20022 standards. Some familiarity with automation tools may enhance your contribution.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring presence in the office three days per week. Locations include Warszawa, Gdańsk/Gdynia, and Łódź, offering flexibility while maintaining team collaboration.
