Chemin is looking for a Mandarin Audio Transcriber to join a focused, two-month project. In this part-time, remote role, you will help optimize AI training data by segmenting and accurately transcribing raw audio clips, directly contributing to the enhancement of AI models.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality transcriptions of audio clips with minimal to no revisions.
- Precisely segment spoken content in audio clips into distinct components.
- Identify and label speakers appropriately within the audio clips.
- Transcribe all audio content within each segment in its respective language(s).
- Proactively communicate challenges, queries, or concerns with Project Managers.
- Meet key deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency in work output.
What We're Looking For
- Malaysian citizen fluent in English and Mandarin (Simplified Chinese).
- Strong listening and comprehension skills, including deciphering accents, dialects, and background noise.
- Professional attitude: responsive and inquisitive to ask clarifying questions.
- Possess a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and reliability in spelling, labeling relevant tags (gender, age, emotion), and segmenting audio.
- Efficient time management skills to meet and exceed deliverables.
- A high level of focus and patience to complete tasks thoroughly.
- Available for at least 4 hours per day, including on weekends when necessary.
- Able to commit to the project for a minimum of 2 months from November 10th to January 10th.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with transcription tools or data annotation projects, especially in linguistics.
