American Airlines is hiring a Managing Director, Division Finance to lead all aspects of the division's operating and headcount planning. You will coordinate budget and financial results with Corporate Finance, Division Senior Management, and Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with corporate financial guidelines, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Oversee financial planning and budgeting for the organization.
- Coordinate and prepare annual operating and headcount budgets.
- Partner with the division and Corporate Finance on cost control, strategic, and financial initiatives.
- Monitor and report monthly spending performance.
- Assist division management in preparing and analyzing headcount, capital, and operating expense requests.
- Collaborate with external and internal customers to resolve invoice issues.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-departmental teams.
- 10 years of hands-on experience with financial processes and systems.
- Prior experience with budget tracking, variance reporting, cost analysis, and developing & reporting performance metrics.

- Advanced Degree (MBA) or Advanced Certification (CPA).
