About the Role

Blue Cross NC is hiring a Manager, Strategic Planning, Health Plan Strategy to lead the development, refinement, and monitoring of strategic plans. You will ensure alignment across the Health Plan with enterprise objectives and financial performance, enabling data-driven leadership decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the tracking, analysis, and communication of planning efforts for the enterprise strategy.
  • Partner with business and financial planning resources to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Translate Health Plan Strategy into action planning assumptions, priorities, and execution roadmaps.
  • Consult with Strategy leadership on the approach of Strategic Planning efforts and align work across teams.
  • Encourage professional development within the Strategic Planning team.
  • Develop and maintain planning resources that support the cascade of strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services and Enterprise Strategy to ensure planning consistency and integration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Act as a proactive planning resource to identify opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
  • 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within or alongside health plans, payer organizations, or complex healthcare systems.
  • Experience working within processes or planning.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience leading teams and/or directly managing staff.
