Sterling Jewelers Inc. is hiring a Manager, Store Labor Optimization to own the strategy, budgeting, and management of our $500M+ store labor budget supporting over 2,300 stores across North America. This remote role is central to maximizing the impact of labor dollars to drive sales and operational efficiency, working closely with field leadership.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the overall labor strategy to optimize spending and drive results.
- Create, manage, and update data for the monthly Field Labor Budgeting process, including sales forecasts and historical labor usage.
- Collaborate with the Work Force Management (WFM) Manager on inputs and outputs for the Zebra/Reflexis Labor Tool.
- Provide key insights and analytics to drive business decisions and performance reviews.
- Review and respond to field requests regarding store-specific payroll issues and labor budgeting.
- Design and implement new processes and reporting to monitor labor usage against budget and sales trends.
- Manage a team of Labor Analysts, including staffing, performance, talent management, and succession planning.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a focus on finance or business.
- 5 years of experience in financial analytics.
- Expert proficiency in Excel.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, a WFM tool, and Business Objects or a similar reporting tool.
Nice to Have
- At least 3 years in retail or labor operational analytics.
- Experience with labor allocation in a large retail environment.
- Strong experience with Kronos, Zebra/Reflexis, and SAP Finance is a plus.

Team & Environment
You will manage a team of Labor Analysts, overseeing their work and being involved in interviewing and hiring. You will report within the corporate structure and work closely with field leaders including Brand DVP, VPRO, and District Managers.
