Salesforce is hiring a Manager, Software Engineering to expand the Data Modeling and Analytics capabilities of Tableau. You will build and lead a team of 5-8 full stack software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship to deliver the next generation of Tableau Analytics.

What You'll Do

Lead a team of 5-8 full stack software engineers on critical projects for Tableau's Data Modeling and Analytics.
Recruit, hire, support, and grow a diverse team of engineering talent.
Mentor the team in best engineering practices to foster productivity and collaboration.
Provide technical guidance and participate in architectural and design discussions.
Use expertise in Data Modeling and Semantic Layers to build advanced data visualization and insights into Tableau Online, Server, and Desktop products.
Collaborate with Product Management on feature requirements and with UX Designers on user experience.
Drive a culture of operational excellence focused on scale, performance, security, and reliability.
Participate in organization-wide initiatives to improve engineering productivity and innovation.
Partner with teams across the development organization to deliver new Tableau Analytics features.

What We're Looking For

A Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related occupation.
Experience developing and testing multi-tiered web-based applications.
Experience with .NET Framework, C#, Javascript, XHTML, HTML, XML, XSLT, SOAP, Web services, jQuery, and SQL.
Experience developing and testing applications using C, C++, object-oriented design and analysis, software integration, and performance optimization.
Experience conducting code analysis, requirements analysis, architecture and software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.
