Celestica is hiring a Manager, Software Engineering to lead teams that develop, debug, test, deploy, and support code for various applications. In this role, you will ensure robust product development by managing cross-functional teams and following established development processes.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex, multi-domain projects.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling, taking responsibility for non-technical elements like people and financials.
- Review and interpret customer requirements and may act as the primary customer contact.
- Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions.
- Develop deployment strategies and plans, leading the deployment of strategic programs.
- Manage relationships with key vendors or partners.
- Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites.
- Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.
- Test software development methodology, potentially in an agile environment.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements for existing systems and platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, users, project managers and other engineers.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and apply best practices.
- Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
- Set yearly plans and goals for the department, provide direction, performance evaluations, and feedback.
- Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
What We're Looking For
- 15 to 20 years of typical, relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management: Ability to lead complex, multiple line engineering projects, understanding technical, financial and people aspects. Must create project plans and ensure delivery on time and on budget.
- Leadership: Demonstrate 'People & Team Leadership Behaviors' as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives.
- Financial Acumen / Business Planning: Ability to create financial plans for projects, align them internally and externally, and perform profitability, risk, and sensitivity analyses.
Team & Environment
You will manage cross functional teams collaborating with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Taipei, Taiwan.
