About the Role
The Safety and Operations Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and operational processes to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. This role will collaborate with various departments to drive operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety programs and protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Investigate and document safety incidents and near-misses.
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Manage operational processes to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with external agencies for safety and operational support.
- Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions to address safety and operational issues.
- Ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment and facilities.
- Develop and manage safety budgets and resources.
- Provide regular reports on safety and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
- Develop and implement emergency response drills.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of safety and operational activities.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on safety and operational matters.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Conduct regular reviews of safety and operational policies and procedures.
- Provide input on safety and operational aspects of new projects and initiatives.
- Ensure proper training and certification of safety personnel.
- Develop and implement safety communication plans.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Certification in environmental management (e.g., CIH, CHMM).
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Experience in developing and implementing operational excellence programs.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
- Experience in working with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of international safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in conducting safety and operational audits in multiple locations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
