About the Role

Role Overview

As Manager, Risk & Asset Controls, you will play a key role in enhancing the integrity of global asset management by advancing risk mitigation strategies and audit processes. You will lead the design and execution of standardized controls, support transformation initiatives, and ensure alignment with compliance standards across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional and functional leaders to assess, prioritize, and address risks, ensuring control frameworks support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct independent evaluations of first-line risk management practices, challenging assumptions and proposing improvements where necessary.
  • Work closely with compliance, audit, and other second-line functions to identify control gaps and streamline risk oversight across the organization.
  • Strengthen risk culture by coaching teams, delivering training, and embedding consistent practices in day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of risk reporting for leadership, providing clear insights into exposure, control effectiveness, and mitigation progress.
  • Lead the implementation of global asset control standards, including audit planning, inventory reconciliation, and approval workflows.
  • Drive innovation in asset auditing through predictive analytics and digital tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support business continuity planning and digital transformation in asset management, with a focus on automation and data integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

You bring a solid foundation in finance or accounting, with 7–10 years of experience in audit, controls, or risk management within a global, results-oriented environment. You are skilled in leading change, standardizing processes across markets, and influencing stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proven ability to analyze risk, develop controls, and communicate findings to senior leaders
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and big-picture impact
  • Experience managing remote teams or working across geographies
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an advantage
  • CPA or MBA is preferred

Technology and Tools

You will work with digital audit platforms, automation tools, and data reconciliation systems, leveraging predictive analytics to enhance decision-making and control reliability.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Mexico City or Manchester, offering flexibility to balance in-office collaboration with remote work. You will operate in a multicultural, inclusive environment that values innovation, sustainability, and authentic contribution.
