About the Role

The Quality Engineering Manager will lead a team of quality engineers, focusing on the development and implementation of quality assurance processes. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and reliability, and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of quality engineers to develop and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct code reviews and pair programming sessions to ensure code quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with software quality.
  • Work with development teams to integrate quality assurance into the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in quality engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues.
  • Implement automated testing solutions to improve testing efficiency.
  • Participate in the development of software release plans.
  • Provide input on software design and architecture to ensure testability.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure software meets performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure software meets user needs and expectations.
  • Participate in the development of software documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Experience with test management tools.
