What You'll Do
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. Guide the full lifecycle of technical delivery for the Kyte value stream, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Provide technical leadership in solving complex engineering challenges and making key architectural and project decisions. Work closely with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to ensure seamless integration, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
Oversee project planning, resource estimation, and workload scheduling to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines. Monitor development workflows, framework adoption, and process improvements to enhance productivity and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing software engineering teams, with strong leadership in people development, performance evaluation, and team culture building
- Expertise in DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, and rapid feedback integration
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with experience deploying and managing cloud-based systems
- Proficiency in product software engineering, from design and development to testing and deployment, with a user-centric approach
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and adaptive planning in fast-evolving environments
- Experience with API design, development, and security, ensuring interoperability across systems
- Solid background in implementing and delivering complex technical projects on time and at scale
- Ability to analyze complex problems, break them into components, and develop effective solutions
- Skilled in leveraging software development frameworks to improve code quality and streamline processes
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities within distributed teams
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model based in Leuven, combining in-office collaboration with flexible remote work. Candidates should be prepared to participate in in-person interviews and occasional onsite engagements as part of the hiring process and ongoing responsibilities.
