Henry Schein One LLC is looking for a Manager, Product Category Management Dental to be directly responsible for managing assigned dental product categories and developing plans to increase sales, market share, and profitability. This role serves as the Product Category Expert within the Dental Group.
What You'll Do
- Own all activities surrounding performance of assigned categories, including sales and market share analysis, and develop plans to drive sales and market share.
- Provide strategic guidance on private brand product additions and line extensions.
- Manage the process of all new product submissions, determining acceptance/rejection, pricing, forecast, and opening order quantities.
- Oversee new item code creation, web attributes, catalog copy development, and work with suppliers on promotional plans for launch.
- Determine products and pricing featured in all flyers for respective categories.
- Negotiate buying deals with suppliers and oversee communication and implementation to Inventory Management.
- Manage layout and presentation for respective categories in annual and specialty catalogs/flyers.
- Perform competitive pricing analysis and determine selling prices for all products in respective categories.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Manage work and goals of professional level staff, including hiring, termination, promotion, salary decisions, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
What We're Looking For
- Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.
- 1 or more years of management experience.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, lead, and develop their team on processes and procedures.
Nice to Have
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
- Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
