Lead and elevate project delivery by managing a team of Project Managers responsible for executing multiple concurrent initiatives or a defined portfolio. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership and mentorship to project managers, guiding them in risk identification, decision-making, and process optimization.
- Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies, quality standards, and governance frameworks across all engagements.
- Lead strategic or high-complexity projects from initiation to closure, maintaining clear ownership of scope, timeline, and outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by aligning stakeholders, subject matter experts, and partners to achieve shared objectives.
- Use demand planning tools such as Kinaxis to manage project requirements, scheduling, inventory, and billing workflows tailored to customer delivery models.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on operational challenges and develop data-backed solutions to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Design and refine project management frameworks, workflows, and communication strategies to enhance delivery maturity across the PMO.
- Establish measurable KPIs and QA/QC metrics to evaluate post-implementation success and inform future initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level summaries, status reports, and presentations that clearly communicate progress, risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive stakeholder alignment by defining expectations, managing change, and ensuring readiness through training and communication plans.
- Oversee project close-out activities, document lessons learned, and implement improvements for future programs.
- Deliver weekly reporting on resource utilization, project health, risk mitigation, and portfolio performance to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and possess PMP, ITIL, or equivalent certification. A minimum of 10 years in project or program management within technology or operations environments is required, including at least 3 years managing teams. Experience leading portfolios, resolving ambiguity, and driving data-informed decisions is essential. Strong proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and analytical frameworks is expected. An MBA is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
