About the Role

Standard Insurance Company is hiring a Manager of Sales Support, Group Benefits to lead a team supporting our internal sales organization and external clients. You'll be instrumental in promoting customer retention by developing programs and processes that foster excellence in relationships with brokers and employers, implementing strategic initiatives to retain and increase business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of high-performing sales support team members to meet organizational goals and provide quality representation.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, providing career development planning and opportunities.
  • Manage escalations within the team.
  • Handle concept design, data analysis, and external reporting to brokers and employer groups.
  • Provide data analysis and internal reporting to management.
  • Enhance and expand broker relationships, ensuring superior customer service.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to retain and increase the block of business and improve processes.
  • Work closely with sales, enrollment, finance, customer service, claims, underwriting, and IT to coordinate all support services for assigned customers.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 4 years of management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in insurance operations, insurance premium account management, or insurance relationship management.
  • Experience in broker management, customer onboarding, and sales service.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits products.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the year.
  • Understanding of Lean management or Six Sigma concepts.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with voluntary benefits is highly preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CLU and ChFC are desirable.

  • Compensation range: $77,250.00 - $123,500.00.
