BD is seeking a Manager, Medical Affairs to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the clinical and administrative aspects of our MMS business, with a focus on medical safety and compliance, innovation, lifecycle clinical evidence generation, and market shaping. You will report to a BD office 4 days per week.
What You'll Do
- Develop processes and procedures to implement Medical Affairs strategies, including the execution of business operating plans.
- Maintain good stewardship of financial resources for project expenses.
- Serve as the internal 'Voice of the End User' to ensure product releases are safe and effective, including Core Team representation and Extended Core Team leadership for medical workstreams.
- Provide SME input to R&D/UXD on clinical operations and outcomes.
- Develop and lead evidence generation activities, prepare publication and dissemination strategy, and ensure clinical trial excellence.
- Oversee study protocol development, evidence project execution, and study result presentations.
- Engage Key Opinion Leaders, customer SMEs, and external collaborators; recommend clinical practices to improve outcomes and patient safety.
- Support the implementation of evidence for customer-facing materials.
- Support activities ensuring safety and compliance throughout the product lifecycle, reinforcing enterprise-wide medical policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance and act as a Medical Affairs clinical delegate on the Risk Management Board.
What We're Looking For
- A Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) or Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN).
- PharmD and US pharmacist licensure OR BSN and US nursing licensure.
- Minimum 7 years of hospital experience.
- Demonstrated experience conducting literature searches and reviews, designing studies per scientific methods, and performing basic statistical analysis of results.
- Proven continuous process improvement project planning and management expertise, including results-orientation and ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Experience participating in and/or leading investigational drug or medical device studies, including conducting literature reviews, study design and execution, and compliance monitoring.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- Additional experience within medication or patient safety, quality, regulatory affairs, or medical devices.
- Experience directly or indirectly engaging vendors, cross-functional project team members, and medical process/program management/ownership.
- Experience in employee coaching, mentorship, and supervision of support and professional associates.
- Knowledge and experience using and interpreting basic biomedical statistical methods.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual Salary: $124,100 - $204,800 USD

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence 4 days per week.
