Remote is hiring a Manager, Lifecycle Employee Relations & Transitions

About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing global employee relations and managing workforce transitions throughout the employee lifecycle. The position involves developing policies, guiding managers, and ensuring compliance with labor laws across jurisdictions. The individual will act as a strategic partner in resolving complex cases and driving equitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into employee concerns with impartiality and confidentiality
  • Advise managers on appropriate responses to performance and conduct issues
  • Support organizational changes including restructuring and workforce reductions
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for employee relations cases
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws across multiple regions
  • Partner with legal and HR teams to mitigate employment risks
  • Create documentation for disciplinary actions and performance management
  • Deliver training to HR partners and people managers on ER principles
  • Monitor trends in employee relations data to identify systemic issues
  • Guide exit processes including terminations and separations
  • Uphold organizational values during sensitive employee transitions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment regulations
  • Collaborate with global teams to align practices across locations
  • Manage escalated employee complaints with fairness and consistency
  • Support the implementation of corrective action plans
  • Ensure equitable treatment in disciplinary and termination decisions
  • Assist in drafting communications related to employee transitions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of employee relations programs
  • Promote a culture of accountability and respectful workplace conduct
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures

Nice to Have

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, HRCI)
  • Experience in a technology or SaaS company
  • Advanced degree in HR, law, or organizational psychology
  • Multilingual communication skills
  • Prior experience in a fully remote organization
