The University of Chicago's Internal Medicine Residency Program is hiring a Manager to guide the day-to-day operations of its accredited and non-accredited residency and fellowship training programs. In this key role, you will ensure compliance with organizations like the ACGME and RRC while managing all aspects of the training program, from recruitment and the Match process to scheduling, budgeting, and employee relations.
What You'll Do
- Direct and oversee the administrative activities of the Internal Medicine and Med/Peds Residency Programs.
- Plan the yearly operating budget in conjunction with leadership and manage related expenditures for recruitment and academics.
- Develop and enforce procedures and standards to ensure accuracy and compliance with university and agency policies.
- Develop the annual work plan and implement methods for achieving short and long-term program goals.
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including supervising employees, managing facilities, and payroll functions.
- Work with chief residents to direct complex schedule development for multiple residency tracks.
- Direct yearly recruitment activities, evaluate them using national data, and lead the faculty selection committee.
- Manage employees by establishing performance goals, assessing performance, and determining merit increases.
- Manage all requirements of the training program, including accreditation, duty schedules, evaluations, and orientation.
What We're Looking For
- A college or university degree in a related field.
- Knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- Healthcare and/or academic medical experience.
- Previous experience with fellowship training programs and resident/fellowship recruitment.
- Management experience.
Team & Environment
You will report under the general supervision of the Administrator and Program Director, working closely with residency program and department leadership to develop new systems, policies, and strategies.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00.
