Airbnb is hiring a Manager, Global Instructional Design to join the Global Operations Training team. In this role, you will lead a team of Instructional Designers creating and maintaining learning content for Airbnb's global Community Support, Trust, and AirCover teams, ensuring high-quality and effective training outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coach a team of Instructional Designers focused on creating learning content for initiatives with rapid timelines and maintaining enduring learning content.
- Own and manage the end-to-end people strategy and performance management of the assigned Instructional Design team.
- Manage intake and triage of content design and development requests.
- Define and drive learning content standards, processes, and design and development strategy to create consistency and quality across teams.
- Collaborate closely with fellow Global Operations Training team members to deliver high-quality training content deliverables and outcomes.
- Innovate on instructional design processes using data analysis and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years experience with strategic design and development of learning content, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, simulations, audio and video content.
- 2+ years experience managing complex content design and development projects and working with contributors to resolve day-to-day challenges.
- 2+ years experience managing teams in a distributed environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills with ability to influence across various leadership levels.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and adaptation to different styles.
- Ability to prioritize and drive a team to achieve multiple simultaneous deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality results.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and discover novel solutions.
- Strong business acumen, including strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Team & Environment
You will join the Global Operations Training team. The team works closely with Delivery and Optimization, Change Management, Service Enablement, Process Improvement, Quality, Analytics, Policy, and many other teams.
