McKesson is seeking a Manager, Field Reimbursement Services to lead the day-to-day operations and team for a field reimbursement program sourced from a pharmaceutical manufacturer client. In this role, you will be the primary leader responsible for hiring, developing, coaching, and guiding a team of field-based reimbursement managers to successfully engage specialty physician offices and support our manufacturer customer.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of field-based reimbursement specialists providing in-office reimbursement and patient support services across an assigned territory.
- Handle all administrative, training, and performance management duties, including weekly one-on-one meetings, team meetings, monthly check-ins, and quarterly performance surveys.
- Ensure effective communication and partnership between the field team and their home office counterparts, establishing weekly meetings with client and operations teams.
- Conduct quarterly ride-a-longs with individual team members for on-going training and development.
- Provide field operations efficiencies and innovative ideas to enhance the Field Reimbursement Program.
- Ensure all SLA and other contractual commitments are met, and maintain team adherence to all applicable privacy and compliance obligations.
- Work in tandem with the client’s Head of Reimbursement Operations to ensure the execution of strategic initiatives.
- Provide managerial oversight of day-to-day team activities and report results to McKesson Client Services and key client contacts.
- Manage client expectations regarding service delivery and provide proactive consultative services on process improvement and opportunities.
- Assist in preparing and participating in Quarterly Business Reviews with the client.
- Partner with Field Reimbursement Managers to establish development opportunities and provide ongoing training.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of reimbursement experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- A 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven account management or client management experience, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare-related industry.
- Proven experience in direct communication with pharmaceutical clients or stakeholders.
- Collaborative, customer-focused approach with the ability to create visible value.
- Ability to develop strong team relationships and bring individuals together to focus on team goals.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects effectively, according to budget and timelines.
- Detailed understanding and experience with process documentation and improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to travel 60-80% (3-4 days a week) via automobile or plane.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting a Field Reimbursement Team.
- Experience managing a field-based team, with management of a field-based reimbursement team strongly preferred.

Team & Environment
You will lead a nation-wide team of remote-based direct reports. The role acts as a liaison within McKesson, representing the field-based reimbursement team to Client Services, Information Systems, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Training.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $91,400 - $152,400.
