Cranial Technologies is seeking a part-time Editorial Manager to develop and create impactful editorial content across multiple platforms. This role leverages a storytelling style to craft narratives for print, video, digital, and social media. You will write, edit, and proofread national-level content while managing freelance writers to support our mission-driven organization.
What You'll Do
- Write, edit, proofread, research, and update national-level content for various channels, including print, video, digital, and social media.
- Contribute strategic writing support to national-level marketing and branding materials to ensure quality and consistency of messaging.
- Support the editorial strategizing and operationalizing of wish storytelling in partnership with the Storytelling Strategy team and chapters.
- Actively collaborate on impactful testimonials that will underpin revenue-driving activities across the enterprise.
- Gather diverse constituent experiences to best support storytelling for revenue-driving needs, including through wish family interviews.
- Provide management of freelance writers as needed, ensuring clarity, professionalism, quality, and consistency in brand voice and style.
- Maintain costs in line with the departmental budget.
- Actively ideate and coordinate with stakeholder teams across the National Make-A-Wish team to conceptualize and execute a wide variety of creative projects.
- Assist the production process to ensure written materials receive the appropriate approvals for content, medical, statistical, and policy accuracy.
- Follow the Creative Team workflow process, including use of the team’s project management tool, for all projects.
- Adhere to brand tone, messaging, and voice guidelines.

- A creative storyteller who can surface compelling perspectives for differing mediums and audiences.
- Advanced research, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized; comfortable writing a variety of pieces in short periods of time.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with chapter, celebrity, wish family, sponsor, and donor information.
- Ability to adapt quickly to project management procedures and software.
- A thorough understanding of AP Style.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Canva, Workfront, and a Data Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Fundraising writing experience.
- Spanish, bilingual translation skills.
