OppFi is hiring a Manager, Collections & Recoveries Strategy to set the strategic direction and manage the financial impact of all collections and recovery operations. This critical, high-impact role drives optimization to maximize recovery while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and a positive customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead the Collections and Recoveries strategy roadmap, leveraging data analytics for complex customer segmentation and compliant collection approaches.
- Directly manage a team, providing leadership, guidance, and training to foster accountability and professional growth.
- Develop, implement, and govern end-to-end strategy for all charged-off loan recoveries across internal operations and external collection agencies.
- Negotiate, onboard, and manage external partners to augment internal capabilities and maximize net portfolio return.
- Act as lead owner for high-priority, complex cross-functional initiatives to deliver quantifiable financial outcomes.
- Distill complex operational data into clear, actionable executive updates highlighting key risks and opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years progressive experience in Collections or Recoveries Strategy within a FinTech or Financial Services environment.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Advanced ability to independently lead multiple high-priority projects concurrently.
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder expectations and drive timely resolution.
- Ability to apply rigorous process and risk tools to complex problem statements to develop strategic solutions.
- Expert knowledge and direct experience implementing strategies related to key federal regulations (FCRA, UDAAP, TILA, etc.).

- Compensation: $85,600 - $128,400 USD + equity. Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity grants dependent on role and level.
