TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods seeks a Manager to lead the CSD AI Innovation Hub. You will guide a team of data scientists, engineers, and developers in designing and building AI-driven software solutions that deliver customer experience improvements, operational efficiencies, and revenue growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of AI and data professionals. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture by driving ownership, experimentation, technical rigor, and measurable business impact.
- Drive the strategy, architecture, and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning (including large language models) to turn raw, unstructured data into actionable insights and build reliable, intelligent systems that automate complex tasks.
- Oversee the entire technical solution lifecycle, ensuring solutions are designed for seamless integration, built for scale and performance, and maintainable.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and build strong relationships across functions to ensure alignment and adoption of AI initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience leading data science or AI/ML teams, with proven team management and mentoring success.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Practical experience designing and deploying LLM-powered systems.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT pipeline design, data modeling, SQL, data quality controls, and integration with modern data warehouses.
- Strong backend development experience in Python, including building and deploying APIs.
- Experience designing end-to-end systems that connect data pipelines, models, APIs, and user-facing applications into cohesive, maintainable architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP), containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring practices.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset and the ability to translate strategic business objectives into scalable, AI-powered solutions.
