Nordex SE is looking for a Major Correctives Specialist to lead and execute on-site Major Correctives projects involving major component replacements and repairs on wind turbines. This field-based role involves safely directing technicians, coordinating project logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed Nordex HSE legal requirements.
- Support and/or generate HSE/CINC tickets as needed.
- Support HSE Incident Reporting & HSE Incident Investigation as needed.
- Support Risk assessment definition.
- Control of High-Risk Work.
- Ensure training compliance for any Nordex or subcontractor at the project.
- Oversee HSE Nordex Specific Site Orientation.
- Train workers on site or task-specific information or Nordex-specific processes.
- Perform Safety Supervision (Safety Walks, JSEAs review, PPE inspections).
- Lead LOTO process and records.
- Manage Hazardous Material handling/management.
- Schedule and maintain daily working shifts for technicians and contractors.
- Assist with the management of the tooling for the assigned major corrective project.
- Perform Specialty Tooling (Rigging equipment) inspections as a competent and trained person.
- Maintain inventories within MC projects scope (Material and Consumables).
- Communicate schedules and work progress with Operations/Customers.
- Complete progress trackers for MC projects.
- Ensure Services Orders are closed and completed on time.
- Support the creation of onsite project planning and execution.
- Maintain and comply with the defined project schedule.
- Perform quality control audits and Safety Walks.
- Support project cost management including monitoring and validating contractor timesheets.
- Coordinate and supervise manpower and resources on-site for project activities.
- Follow standard Nordex project management processes.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years in Major Corrective projects in the Wind Industry.
- Demonstrated use and understanding of power tools.
- Ability to provide detailed technical reporting of issues within a wind turbine.
- Ability to train other employees in Turbine Operations and Major corrective tasks.
- Able to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Maintain required training certifications such as rigger/signal person certification and crane calling certification.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings, schematics, instructions, and schedules.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with internet-based programs, MS Office, and ability to generate data and reports using a computer.
- Legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
- Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods and work overtime, including flexible and variable work schedules.
- Travel to project sites as required (up to 100% travel).
- Possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under company auto insurance policy.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Properly use applicable safety equipment.
- Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information.
Nice to Have
- A 2-year degree in wind turbine technology or a similar field.
Team & Environment
This is a field-based role within the Back Office department of the Services Department.

Work Mode
This is an onsite role requiring travel to project locations across the U.S. and Canada.
