Alstom, a caring, responsible, and innovative company leading the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, is hiring a Maintenance Technician D at DFW Airport. In this hands-on role, you will perform first-line troubleshooting and maintenance on rail vehicles and wayside equipment, ensuring safe and reliable fleet operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform first-line troubleshooting, train coordination, and preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and wayside equipment, including propulsion, traction motors, brakes, air compressors, couplers, doors, HVAC, auxiliary power, and other electromechanical components.
- Make recommendations for hardware and procedural changes identified during maintenance, inspection, or troubleshooting.
- Review and understand project/activity requests, safety instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and solutions.
- Operate revenue service vehicles and ensure trains entering revenue service are fully serviceable.
- Handle emergencies and failures in accordance with established procedures through immediate response and quick action.
- Participate in regular training to maintain required knowledge and train additional personnel as needed.
- Perform quality tests and verification to ensure the safe performance of sub-assemblies or components.
- Record all relevant information on appropriate work orders/forms.
- Follow all security and safety instructions or procedures to prevent injuries and maintain a safe, reliable fleet.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work various shifts (24hr work environment).
- Must obtain and maintain certifications in compliance with all state and federal regulations applicable to this position.
- Must be able to pass background and security requirements to obtain and maintain an access badge.
Nice to Have
- AA/AS Degree preferred but not required.

Works under the direction of supervisors, engineers, or staff members.

This is an onsite position based at DFW Airport.
