Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Union) for 3rd Shift. In this role, you will operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within assigned facilities at the Detroit Airport. Your work ensures the reliability and safety of equipment and building components.
What You'll Do
- Complete preventive maintenance and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems.
- Perform facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client operations.
- Conduct general interior maintenance, including hanging pictures, repairing furniture, and installing fixtures.
- Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance.
- Move office furniture, machinery, and other materials as needed.
- Replace lighting and ballasts.
- Clean HVAC coils and change filters and belts.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of applicable experience in general building repair, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Required licenses as mandated by local authorities.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
Nice to Have
- Experience completing Hazard Assessments.
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of compliance with local ordinances and codes.
- Commitment to completing required safety training.
- Adherence to policies for handling hazardous materials.
- Experience submitting P-card receipts.
- Ability to update work order status in real time.
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
- Ability to perform vehicle safety inspections.
- Skill in escalating issues to management promptly.
- Adaptability to perform any other assigned duties.
Technical Stack
- CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
Team & Environment
You will partner with team members and mobile engineers in maintenance and repair efforts.
