Nearmap is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 for a Graveyard Shift position. You will be responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance of critical systems, including purified water systems and utilities, within a regulated GMP environment.
What You'll Do
- Make daily planned inspections of facilities equipment and services.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on at least one utility or process system.
- Perform various projects, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work.
- Execute preventative maintenance and repair work orders.
- Independently perform preventive maintenance or repair work orders with little or no oversight.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records to ensure GMP and department procedure compliance.
- Revise Standard Operating Procedures when required.
- Assist with start-up of new mechanical systems under the direction of a Sr. Mechanic.
- Perform troubleshooting, evaluation, and repair of utility and process systems.
- Maintain quality and integrity of preventive maintenance documentation using the CMMS system.
- Assist the Maintenance Planner or Scheduler on scope of work when required.
- Provide backup assistance for the Supervisor or lead mechanic when required.
- Maintain communication between maintenance shifts via shift pass down updates.
- Participate as a BERT team member.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry or GMP environment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
Nice to Have
- College degree (Associates/Bachelors), Technical Certification, military technical training, equivalent experience, or Journeyman skill level in a trade.
- 5+ years' experience in Biotech.
- Technical knowledge and detailed attention to machinery maintenance.
- Adherence to strict quality standards and thorough documentation practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Team & Environment
This role is part of the Technical Operations group, reporting to a Supervisor or management.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
