What You'll Do
Lead the maintenance function at a high-performing manufacturing facility, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. Manage a team of maintenance professionals, guiding performance reviews, development plans, and workforce planning to build technical capability and accountability.
Oversee all aspects of maintenance execution, including preventive maintenance scheduling, emergency response, compliance checks, and contractor supervision. Enforce strict adherence to GMP and food safety standards across all maintenance activities. Champion a culture of safety by collaborating with EHS and Food Safety teams to uphold safe work practices, conduct incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Drive improvements in asset uptime and system reliability through data analysis, root cause evaluation, and continuous improvement projects. Manage spare parts inventory and MRO supply chains to reduce downtime. Provide technical leadership for capital projects, vendor coordination, and maintenance procurement. Support emergency response efforts during unplanned events and participate in drills to maintain site readiness.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
- At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing maintenance teams
- Proven background in preventive maintenance systems, MRO management, and permit-to-work processes
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Track record of delivering productivity gains, equipment upgrades, or process optimizations
- Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and quality compliance frameworks
- Experience implementing and maintaining Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs arise
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lean or Six Sigma environments
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and develop team capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
