About the Role
The role involves capturing verbatim records of depositions, hearings, and other legal events using advanced reporting technology, ensuring transcripts are complete, secure, and delivered promptly.
Responsibilities
- Record spoken testimony during depositions, trials, and sworn statements
- Use stenographic equipment and Maggie™ software for real-time transcription
- Ensure high accuracy and clarity in all transcribed records
- Work on-site at law firms, courtrooms, or client-designated locations
- Support remote proceedings via secure digital platforms
- Verify speaker identification and proper oath administration
- Generate clean transcripts for attorney review and filing
- Meet strict deadlines for transcript delivery
- Collaborate with legal teams to coordinate scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of all case materials and client information
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in legal reporting
- Troubleshoot technical issues during live sessions
- Participate in quality assurance reviews
- Stay current with legal terminology and reporting protocols
- Support certified transcript preparation when required
